Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team defeated Catawba by a 141-107 score in a dual meet Friday night at Johnson Pool inside the Abernathy Physical Education Center.
Sophomore
Alyx Koert (Naples, Fla.) led the Bears to the victory with three first-place finishes on the evening: the women's 1,000-yard freestyle (11:13.31), the women's 500-yard freestyle (5:34.40) and the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:14.52).
Lenoir-Rhyne also picked up a victory in the women's 400-yard individual medley when freshman
Addison Herndon (Greensboro, N.C.) won the event with a time of 4:59.83.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Swimming Team now trains for the 2017 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships which take place from Wednesday, February 8, through Saturday, February 11, at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center in Charlotte, N.C.
