Anderson, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (8-6, 4-4) was handed a 61-53 setback to Anderson (10-2, 7-1) Sunday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.
The Trojans, winners of three straight games, were led by Nakia Young (Taylors, S.C.) with a game-high 19 points while Madison Baggett (Huntsville, Ala.) added 15 points off the bench in the victory.

Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) scored a team-high 14 points while senior center
Chelsey Romero (Hampton, Va.) added 13 points and nine rebounds in the losing effort.
Lenoir-Rhyne was held without a three-pointer in seven attempts and was forced into 27 turnovers in the setback.
Anderson, which never trailed in the contest, also received a double-double from Jasmine Franklin (Simpsonville, S.C.) with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Trojans also remained a half-game behind Lincoln Memorial in the league standings.
Lenoir-Rhyne next travels to Charlotte, N.C., to face Queens while Anderson remains at home to face Lincoln Memorial. Both South Atlantic Conference games begin at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday night.
