Anderson, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Volleyball Team (7-8, 4-6) suffered its sixth consecutive setback with a 3-0 loss to Anderson (15-3, 9-1) Wednesday evening in a South Atlantic Conference match at the Abney Athletic Center. The Trojans, winners of 10 consecutive matches, defeated the Bears by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-19.

• Lenoir-Rhyne was led by senior outside hitter
Brooke Redmond (Statesville, N.C.) with 10 kills while junior setter
Jessica Funk (East Bend, N.C.) added 25 assists and nine digs.
• Anderson was spearheaded by Marissa Mitter (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Kathryn Hughes (Chapin, S.C.) with 13 and 11 kills each, respectively. The Trojans' Emily Conlin (Glendale, Ariz.) added 41 assists in the victory as well.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne lost its sixth straight match.
• Anderson, meanwhile, increased its winning streak to 10 contests and remained in sole possession of second place in the league regular season standings.
