Florence, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (7-2-3) used goals from a pair of junior forwards from SPAIN -
Marc Fernandez (Barcelona) in the first half and
Ignacio de Goya (Madrid) after intermission - to secure a 2-1 road win at Frances Marion (6-6) Saturday night at Hartzler Field.

Zach King (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) earned the win in goal after making three saves. Francis Marion's goalkeeper, Raul Guillamon Bejar (Palau-solità i Plegamans, SPAIN), suffered the loss despite picking up four saves in the process.
• The Bears outshot the Patriots, 17-7, with 47.1 percent of their shots on goal. For the Patriots, 57.1 percent of their shots were on goal.
• The goal was de Goya's team-leading 10th this fall and sixth in the last three contests. de Goya also has three match-winning scores in 2017.
• The Patriots scored first when junior forward Oliver Drakenhammar (Partille, Sweden) finished off a shot at the 19:29 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived, however, as Fernandez tied the contest 55 seconds later. The goal was Fernandez's first of the year.
• The Bears were able to edge the home team in corner kick opportunities, 6-5.
