Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team (10-3-3), ranked No. 20 in NCAA Division II, fell to Anderson (9-7-1) by a 3-2 score in the Quarterfinal Round of the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Championship Tuesday evening at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex.

• The Trojans scored all three of their goals in the second half in a span of just over 11 minutes.

Florian Simon (Oberotterbach, GERMANY) and Anderson's Lars Kuala (Homburg, GERMANY) – with Kuala's being the contest-winner at the 72:51 mark of the second half.
• Anderson was able to hold on for the win despite Lenoir-Rhyne holding a 28-13 edge in shots taken.
• The Trojans' goalkeeper, Gal Elyashiv (Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL), earned the victory after making nine saves while senior
Zach King (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) suffered the loss in goal for LR. King made six saves.

• Lenoir-Rhyne saw its five-match winning streak snapped.
• Anderson was 1-0-1 against the Bears this year with both matches on the road.
• The Trojans were the sixth seed in the 2017 SAC Championship Tournament while the Bears were seeded third.
• Anderson will face seventh-seeded Queens (8-5-4) in the league tournament semifinals on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C.
