Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team (10-11, 6-9) suffered a 3-1 loss to Anderson (21-3, 15-1) Tuesday night in a South Atlantic Conference match at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium. The Trojans, winners of 15 straight matches, downed the Bears by scores of 25-22, 25-18, 20-25 and 26-24.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Four players reached double figures for the Trojans in kills – led by Marissa Mitter (Redondo Beach, Calif.) with 17 – while Emily Conlin (Glendale, Ariz.) added 53 assists and 16 digs in the victory.
• Lenoir-Rhyne redshirt freshman right side hitter
Laila Horton (Charlotte, N.C.) tallied a career-high in kills with 14 while senior outside hitter
Brooke Redmond (Statesville, N.C.) had another double-double – 11 kills and 22 digs – in the losing effort.
• The Trojans were able to rally from a 21-14 deficit in the fourth set to take the victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Anderson swept the season series from Lenoir-Rhyne and increased its winning streak to 15 matches.
• The Trojans are now a full one match ahead on Wingate in the conference standings coming down the home stretch.
• Lenoir-Rhyne was celebrating its Dig Pink night, the annual fundraising match for Breast Cancer Awareness.
