Wingate, N.C. – The Wingate University Volleyball Team (21-2, 15-2), ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II, won its third straight match with a 3-0 sweep of Lenoir-Rhyne (10-12, 6-10) Thursday evening at Cuddy Arena in a South Atlantic Conference contest. The Bulldogs beat the Bears by scores of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-18.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• The Bulldogs were led by Katie Bludau (Seabrook, Texas) and Rachael Cecka (Plymouth, Wis.) with 10 kills each. Rachel Alles (Tinley Park, Ill.) added 41 assists for the Bulldogs, who hit .385 for the match.
• Lenoir-Rhyne was led by senior outside hitter
Brooke Redmond (Statesville, N.C.) with six kills and five assists while senior middle blocker
Emily Steele (Greenville, N.C.) added four kills in the setback. The Bears hit just .097 for the match and committed seven service errors.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bulldogs swept the season series from the Bears and remained in sole possession of second place in the South Atlantic Conference standings.
