Hickory, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Soccer Team got back on the winning side with a 2-0 shutout victory over Mars Hill Wednesday evening at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
•    Junior forward Ignacio de Goya (Madrid, SPAIN) scored both goals of the match for the Bears – one in each half – and now has a team-leading six goals on the year.  His first goal was a penalty kick at the 39:40 mark of the first half.
•    Senior goalkeeper Zach King (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) notched his fifth shutout of the year and lowered his goal-against average to 0.52, second in the league.
•    Mars Hill's goalkeeper, Ben Lucas (Greensboro, N.C.), took the loss despite making seven saves.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne held a 16-6 edge in shots taken.
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    The Bears improved to 4-0-1 at home this season.
•    Mars Hill saw its two-match winning streak snapped.
