• Newberry's Shelby Britten (Shepparton, Vic, Australia) led all scorers with 25 points to go along with four treys while Meg Essex (Glamorgan Vale, Qld, Australia) added 14 points in the victory.
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) totaled a team-high 20 points while grabbing eight rebounds and junior forward
Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) added 12 points and eight boards in the setback.
• The Bears were limited to just 32 percent shooting (20-for-62) in the loss.

• The Bears are 1-1 on the road this season.
• Lenoir-Rhyne's 54 points scored were a season-low in the loss as well.
