Hickory, N.C. – The No. 20 Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (9-0) kept its record unblemished with a 6-3 win over Limestone (6-3) Tuesday evening in a regional game at Bears Field.
Lenoir-Rhyne, which struck out 19 batters in the contest, rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the sixth inning to take the victory. With two outs in the bottom of the frame, Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore first baseman

Limestone lost despite back-to-back home runs from Garrett Lowery (Dallas, N.C.) and Zach Piazza (Huntingtown, Md.) to start off the game. The Saints finished with three solo home runs.

Thomas St. Clair (Winston-Salem, N.C.), who was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Pitcher Of The Week earlier in the day, improved to 3-0 on the season after pitching six innings and striking out 12 batters. Sophomore

John Curtis (Lenoir, N.C.) struck out seven batters and held Limestone scoreless in middle relief while junior outfielder
Marcus Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.) added two hits, two runs scored and an RBI for the Bears in the win.
Limestone's Willis Dobison (Walterboro, S.C.) fell to 1-1 on the year after suffering the loss.
Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home to face West Virginia Tech in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Limestone hosts Gannon on Friday in a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m.
