Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (16-11, 12-9) prevailed on Senior Night with a 59-31 victory over Queens (4-22, 4-17) Wednesday evening in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.
Lenoir-Rhyne senior forward 
Morgan Cooper (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the way with a team-high 13 points while senior center 
Chelsey Romero (Hampton, Va.) added nine points and 13 rebounds as the Bears completed the season sweep of the Royals.
Queens, losers of 11 straight games, was led by Maggie Stewart (Otto, N.C.) with 15 points but the Royals shot just 30 percent (13-of-44) from the field in the setback.
Lenoir-Rhyne held a 26-17 advantage at halftime and never looked back, holding Queens under 10 points in each of the four periods.
Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 37-27 edge on the boards and forced the Royals into 17 turnovers on the evening.
In the final round of South Atlantic Conference games on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., Lenoir-Rhyne faces Mars Hill in Mars Hill, N.C., while Queens hosts Tusculum.
