Mount Olive, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team (1-1) rallied from a four-goal halftime deficit to pick up its first win of the year in thrilling fashion, 9-8, in double overtime over Mount Olive (4-2) Saturday afternoon at Ray McDonald Complex.

Alyssa Sack (Senoia, Ga.) scored the game-winner in the second overtime with 55 seconds left as the Bears spotted the Trojans a 7-3 advantage at halftime.
Sack, who finished with three goals, forced overtime with a goal with seven seconds remaining in the second half as the Bears picked up their first win under new mentor

Gabby Sousa (Delran, N.J.) added three goals while junior goalkeeper
Ines Flueck (Coppell, Texas) earned the win and kept the Bears in the contest after making 17 saves on the day.
For Mount Olive, Claire Murray (Hagerstown, Md.) and Saffron Snethen (Mercer Island, Wash.) both scored two goals but Siena Miller (Vail, Colo.) suffered the loss in goal despite making six stops. The Bears were also able to pull out the victory despite the Trojans holding a 32-17 edge in shots taken.
Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to host Tiffin (Ohio) on Thursday, March 2, at 4:00 p.m., at Moretz Stadium while Mount Olive hosts Tiffin next Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
