Greeneville, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (14-8, 10-6) made it two victories in a row with a 57-53 win over Tusculum (5-15, 4-12) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference game at Pioneer Arena.
Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore forward
Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) led all scorers with 20 points and eight rebounds as the Bears swept the season series from the Pioneers and moved into a fifth-place tie in the league standings.
Tusculum was led by Kasey Johnson (Greensboro, N.C.) with 14 points but the Pioneers shot just 37 percent (19-of-52) for the game in the losing effort.
Lenoir-Rhyne, which held a 39-27 edge on the boards, also received 15 points from senior forward
Brooke Robinson and 10 points from senior center
Chelsey Romero (Hampton, Va.).
On Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m., in South Atlantic Conference action, Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to host Coker while Tusculum travels to Harrogate, Tenn., to take on first-place and fifth-ranked Lincoln Memorial.
