Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Remains Unbeaten On The Season, 4-1 Over Tusculum

Greeneville, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (5-0) remained unbeaten on the season with a 4-1 victory over Tusculum (1-3) Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference regional game at Pioneer Field.

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore first baseman Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with a three-run home run while senior Thomas St. Clair (Winston-Salem, N.C.) (2-0) did not allow a run after pitching into the sixth inning to go along with seven strikeouts in picking up the win.

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore outfielder Justin Dean (Mauldin, S.C.), the reigning South Atlantic Conference Player Of The Week, finished with four hits and two runs scored while senior John Curtis (Lenoir, N.C.) notched his second save of the season.

For Tusculum, Dante Key (Eastampton, N.J.) scored in the seventh inning while Christian Raasch (Norcross, Ga.) (0-2) suffered the loss.

Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to face Emmanuel (Georgia) in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Tusculum plays at Belmont Abbey on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
