Hickory, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial Baseball Team (12-12, 6-3) swept a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader from Lenoir-Rhyne (14-9, 3-6), 17-10 and 8-3, Saturday afternoon at Bears Field.
Game One – Lincoln Memorial 17, Lenoir-Rhyne 10
The Railsplitters used an eight-run fifth inning while Seth Hunt (Knoxville, Tenn.) had six hits and four runs scored as Lincoln Memorial was able to outlast the Bears in the victory.

David Newcomer (Archdale, N.C.) finished with four runs batted in including a bases-clearing double despite the loss.
Lincoln Memorial's Tyler Adams (Woodstock, Ga.) hit a three-run home run and drove in five runs while Chase Randolph (Harriman, Tenn.) improved to 1-0 after pitching the final five innings for the victory.

John Curtis (Lenoir, N.C.) fell to 1-2 after taking the loss. Sophomore first baseman
Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) added three hits and two runs scored in the setback for the Bears.
Game Two – Lincoln Memorial 8, Lenoir-Rhyne 3 (seven innings)
For the second time in three games, Lincoln Memorial took advantage of several Lenoir-Rhyne miscues – the Bears had four errors – as the Railsplitters swept the doubleheader. Six of the Railsplitters' eight runs were unearned.
Mason Ewers (Kingsport, Tenn.) totaled two hits and two runs batted in for Lincoln Memorial, who took control with a five-run second inning. The Railsplitters' Dominic Morabito (Vienna, Va.) (3-1) earned the win after striking out eight batters and going the distance.

Marcus Shoemaker (Colfax, N.C.) had two hits and a solo home run while sophomore
Hunter Martin (Stanfield, N.C.) (3-1) was tagged with the loss.
Lenoir-Rhyne hits the road to take on Limestone on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., in Gaffney, S.C., while Lincoln Memorial hosts Bloomsburg Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1:00 p.m.
