Brevard, N.C. – The No. 15 Lenoir-Rhyne Softball Team (30-7, 4-2) bounced back with a doubleheader sweep of Brevard (2-12, 0-6), 11-0 and 8-0, Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action on the road.
Game One – Lenoir-Rhyne 11, Brevard 0 (six innings)
The Bears run-ruled the Tornados thanks to an offense that produced 16 hits while sophomore
Brandi Parks (Roaring River, N.C.) improved to 18-2 on the year after pitching a three-hit shutout, her eighth of the season. Parks also struck out eight batters in the contest.

Madison Carter (Bessemer City, N.C.) and senior first baseman
Sydney Landreth (Disputanta, Va.) both finished with three hits and two runs batted in while the Bears put the contest away with a four-run sixth inning.
Brevard's Ricki Kuhn (Newton, N.C.) was tagged with the loss.
Game Two – Lenoir-Rhyne 8, Brevard 0 (five innings)

Savannah Davis (Bostic, N.C.) hit a two-run home run, the first of her career, and the Bears once again used a four-run inning in the last frame to run-rule the Tornados. The home run was inside the park.

Sarah Kenley (Charlotte, N.C.) added two runs batted in and sophomore
Ty Triplett (Valdese, N.C.) improved to 8-1 on the year after firing a one-hitter. Triplett also struck out five batters. Kuhn (2-11) took the defeat again for Brevard.

Erin Boone (Creedmoor, N.C.) was a catalyst for the Bears on offense, tallying a pair of hits and scoring three runs.
Lenoir-Rhyne remains on the road to take on Newberry in a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., in Newberry, S.C. Brevard faces Carson-Newman in a league doubleheader on Monday starting at 1:00 p.m., in Jefferson City, Tenn.
