Winter Park, Fla. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (18-12) outlasted Rollins (17-11), 7-6, in 13 innings Sunday afternoon at Alfond Stadium.

Alex Reynolds (Kings Mountain, N.C.) hit the game-winning, run-scoring single in the top of the 13th as the Bears took two of three games from the Tars in the weekend series on the road. Reynolds finished with four hits to lead the Bears
Rollins was able to rally from a 5-0 deficit to force extra innings when Sam LaFontaine (Hudson, Ohio) hit a RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning. Neither team scored again until Lenoir-Rhyne pushed across a run in its half of the 13th inning.

Brandon Lam (Bradenton, Fla.) added two hits and two runs batted in while senior
John Curtis (Lenoir, N.C.) (2-2) was credited with the victory.
The Tars' Mike Purcell (Cheshire, Conn.) also drove in a pair of runs but Joey Vecchione (Marlboro, N.Y.) fell to 1-1 after being tagged with the loss.
Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to host Pfeiffer on Tuesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., while Rollins faces Lynn on the road in Boca Raton, Fla., beginning at 3:00 p.m., on Friday.
