•    Lenoir-Rhyne held a 10-5 advantage at halftime and never let its lead fall under three goals the rest of the way as the Bears held off the expected Saints' surge in the second half.  Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 52-46 edge in shots taken.

•    The Saints were led by Brendan P. Smith (West Islip, N.Y.) with four goals and did hold a 50-39 edge in ground balls despite the loss.
•    In goal, Lenoir-Rhyne senior Ryan Crompton (Frederick, Md.) made 13 saves and earned the victory while Limestone's Coke Aikens (Novato, Calif.) stopped 15 shots but was tagged with the loss.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    The Saints have won three of the best four NCAA Division II National Championships (2014, 2015 and 2017).  The Bears also defeated the Saints for the first time in school history (seven all-time tries).
•    Lenoir-Rhyne's last victory over a ranked team came on Saturday, April 1, 2017, against Belmont Abbey – then ranked ninth – at home by a 9-6 score.
•    Dickinson and Moffat lead the squad in goals scored with seven this year.
