Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (14-11, 8-9) made it two victories in a row with an easy 81-46 win over Mars Hill (1-23, 0-16) in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

• Lenoir-Rhyne junior guard
Ashley Rodriguez (Orlando, Fla.) came off the bench to score a career-high 18 points in addition to four treys while junior guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) added 14 points and seven assists for the Bears, who held a 51-28 edge in rebounding.
• The Lions, who shot just 30 percent (17-of-56) from the field, were led by Cierra Hampton (Spring Lake, N.C.) and Jewel Walston (Columbia, S.C.) with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
• Eleven players scored for the Bears, who swept the season series from the Lions. Lenoir-Rhyne also hit 10 treys on the afternoon.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• With five players logging all 40 minutes each for the Lions, the visitors were no match for the Bears. Mars Hill ran its losing streak to 22 games in the process.
• LR's 36-point victory was the largest since an 89-50 triumph over Mars Hill on the road on Saturday, February 25, 2017, in Mars Hill, N.C.
