Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Basketball Falls In The End To Tusculum, 73-65

Greeneville, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (14-13, 8-11) suffered a 73-65 loss to Tusculum (16-7, 11-6) Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Arena in a South Atlantic Conference game.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne junior forward Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) led all scorers with 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting despite the loss.  
•    Senior guard Cassidy Joyner (Dobson, N.C.) added 14 points and junior guard Kendell Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) had a line consisting of 13 points, seven assists and seven steals for the Bears, who were swept in the season series to the Pioneers.
•    Tusculum took control in the fourth period – outscoring Lenoir-Rhyne by a 28-17 margin – and was led by Sydney Wilson (Greensboro, N.C.) and Mia Long (Ann Arbor, Mich.).  Wilson finished with 19 points and Long had a double-double – 11 points and 10 rebounds.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Toineeta continues to lead the league in assists with 139.

UP NEXT:
Lenoir-Rhyne hosts Queens for Senior Day on Wednesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., in a South Atlantic Conference game while Tusculum hosts No. 22 Wingate in a make-up league contest Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
