Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (15-13, 9-11) celebrated Senior Day in style with a 61-45 triumph over Queens (4-21, 1-18) Wednesday evening in a South Atlantic Conference game at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne once again turned up its defense, limiting the Royals to just 32 percent shooting (18-of-55) including 0-for-12 from behind the three-point line.
• The Bears were led by junior forward
Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.) with 12 points while senior guard
Cassidy Joyner (Dobson, N.C.) added 10 points as Lenoir-Rhyne dished out 18 assists on 23 field goal attempts.
• Queens, losers of 12 straight, was led by Lade Adepoju (Alicante, SPAIN) with 13 points but was the lone player to score in double figures for the Royals.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne will be seeded eighth in the league tournament and will face either Carson-Newman or Wingate in the quarterfinal round next Wednesday.
• LR junior guard
Kendall Toineeta (Cherokee, N.C.) – who totaled five points, four assists and three rebounds on the evening – continues to lead the conference in assists with 143.
