Anderson, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (11-4, 1-0) opened South Atlantic Conference play with a rousing 11-3 win over Anderson (3-7, 0-1) Friday evening at Memorial Stadium.

• Lenoir-Rhyne staked itself to a 3-0 lead in the top half of the first inning thanks to a three-run home run from junior outfielder
Aaron Stamper (Clemmons, N.C.).
• Holding a 6-2 advantage, the Bears broke the contest open with a five-run seventh inning highlighted by a two-run home run from junior outfielder
Justin Dean (Mauldin, S.C.). Dean finished with three hits and five runs batted in to lead Lenoir-Rhyne's 15-hit attack.

Connor Dailey (Rutherfordton, N.C.) improved to 2-0 after earning the win in relief while sophomore
Nolan Flachofsky (Pfafftown, N.C.) was credited with the save for the Bears.
• Anderson's Chandler Castleberry (Waxhaw, N.C.) and Matthew Overton (Spartanburg, S.C.) both hit solo home runs but Andrew Dill (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) (0-1) took the loss.
