Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (1-0), ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division II, opened the 2018 season with an 18-7 victory over Young Harris (0-1) Saturday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

Joe Buduo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) led all scorers with four goals while freshman attacker
Myles Moffat (Airdie, Alberta, CANADA) and senior midfielder
Ben Corrigan (Alpharetta, Ga.) added two goals and two assists each for the Bears.
• LR took control early – 7-1 at the 8:37 mark of the second period – on its way to the victory. Lenoir-Rhyne also held a 51-22 edge in shots taken and a 26-17 advantage in ground balls in the win.
• Young Harris was led by Bruce Silk (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Matty Ledon (Duluth, Ga.) with two goals each in the setback.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne senior goalkeeper
Ryan Crompton (Frederick, Md.) played the first half and finished with four saves while picking up the win. Young Harris' Sean Dever (Marietta, Ga.) suffered the loss in goal while making 12 stops.
• Lenoir-Rhyne is 3-0 all-time against Young Harris.
