Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team (13-11, 7-9) picked up a big South Atlantic Conference road triumph with a 61-56 victory over Catawba (12-11, 10-6), 61-56, Wednesday evening at Goodman Gymnasium.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Lenoir-Rhyne was led by junior forward
Madi Suddreth (Taylorsville, N.C.), who led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting in addition to seven rebounds.
• Sophomore forward
Karlie Bearden (Dawsonville, Ga.) added 11 points off the bench while senior guard
Cassidy Joyner (Dobson, N.C.) totaled nine points, nine assists and five steals for the Bears, who held a 37-25 advantage in rebounding in the victory.
• The Indians' Terri Rogers (Mebane, N.C.) scored 13 points but was the lone player to reach double figures for Catawba. Catawba also hit just three-of-19 three-point attempts in suffering its third straight loss.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne won its fourth consecutive league contest on the road and avenged an earlier setback to Catawba at home on Wednesday, January 3.

Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to face Mars Hill in a league contest Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m. Catawba does not return to the court until Wednesday, February 14, at 6:00 p.m., when the Indians travel to Hartsville, S.C., to take on Coker.
