STATS OF THE GAME (Game 1):
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior pitcher
Brandi Parks (Roaring River, N.C.) (2-2) threw a two-hit, five-strikeout shutout while Lees-McRae's Kara Cunningham (Indian Trail, N.C.) (0-2) took the loss.
• On offense, the Bears were led by senior shortstop
Madison Carter (Bessemer City, N.C.) and freshman first baseman
Kylee Leonhardt (Lincolnton, N.C.). Both players drove in three runs while Leonhardt hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.

• Leonhardt hit a grand slam in the fifth inning while the Bears also scored four runs in the fourth frame to come away with the easy victory.
