Wingate, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (7-1, 1-0), ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division II, opened South Atlantic Conference play by pulling out a 13-11 win over Wingate (2-4, 0-1) Saturday afternoon at Graham Gill Field.

• The Bears were led by junior attacker
Joe Buduo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) with four goals and three assists. Buduo ranks first on the team in goals scored (27) and total points (38) this year.
• With the score tied at eight at the 5:34 mark of the third period, LR took control by reeling off the next four goals including the game-winner from sophomore midfielder
Eric Dickinson (Charlotte, N.C.). Dickinson scored twice for the Bears.

Ben Corrigan (Alpharetta, Ga.) added a pair of goals and two assists as the Bears won their third straight game.
• Wingate was led by Conor Gronbach (Cary, N.C.) with four goals and the Bulldogs held a 34-24 advantage in shots taken despite the loss.

Ryan Crompton (Frederick, Md.) earned the win while stopping 10 shots. Wingate's Jacob Ormerod (Lake Mary, Fla.) suffered the loss in goal despite eight saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne has won 17 straight South Atlantic Conference regular season games and improved to 3-0 on the year away from Moretz Stadium.
