No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Lacrosse Picks Up League Road Win Over Tusculum, 14-10

Greeneville, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (8-1, 2-0), ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, won its 18th straight South Atlantic Conference Regular Season game with a 14-10 triumph over Tusculum (3-4, 1-1) Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•    Lenoir-Rhyne junior attacker Joe Buduo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) tied a school single-game record with seven goals as the Bears rallied from a 8-4 deficit midway through the second period to take the win.  Buduo leads the team with 34 goals and 45 total points.
•    The Bears, who scored the final six goals of the contest and kept the Pioneers off the board in the fourth period, also held advantages in both shots taken (44-40) and ground balls (42-26).  Junior attacker Ryan Bell (Havre de Grace, Md.) added three scores for the Bears.
•    For Tusculum, Andrew Kransberger (Grand Rapids, Mich.) totaled two goals and an assist in the setback.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne senior goalkeeper Ryan Crompton (Frederick, Md.) stopped nine shots and earned the win while Tusculum's Patrick Thomas (Tega Cay, S.C.) made 13 saves but suffered the loss in goal.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
•    Buduo is also tied for the league lead in goals scored.  Jay Goldsmith scored seven times for the Bears on March 2, 2015, against Florida Southern (a 16-11 win).
•    Lenoir-Rhyne is 4-0 on the road this year and is 31-4 in its last 35 games dating back to the beginning of the 2016 campaign.
•    Lenoir-Rhyne is 5-0 all-time against Tusculum.

Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to take on Queens in a South Atlantic Conference contest on Wednesday at Moretz Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Tusculum travels to Charlotte, N.C., to take on Queens in a league contest next Saturday, March 24, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
