Tampa, Fla. – The No. 18 Tampa Women's Lacrosse Team (6-2) triumphed over Lenoir-Rhyne (2-5) by a 12-7 score on Wednesday night at Naimoli Family Field.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• Tampa's Caroline Forester (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) finished with five goals as the Spartans jumped out to a 10-3 advantage midway through the second half and held on for the victory.
• Lenoir-Rhyne junior attacker
Gabby Sousa (Delran, N.J.) scored five times – including three straight in the second half – as the Bears cut the margin to 10-7 with just under nine minutes left but couldn't get any closer the rest of the way.

Rachel Elmore (White Plains, Md.), the reigning SAC Offensive Player of the Week, scored twice for the Bears as well.
• In goal, Tampa's Bridget Suttler (Evergreen, Colo.) earned the win after making 11 saves while senior
Ines Flueck (Coppell, Texas) suffered the loss for the Bears. Flueck, the reigning league defensive player of the week, stopped four shots on the evening.

• Sousa and Elmore continue to rank first and second on the team in goals scored with 22 and 21, respectively.
