HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team won its fifth straight match with a convincing 3-0 sweep of Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon. The win puts LR in sole possession of third place in the conference standings.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Senior outside hitter Angelica Arroyo once again paced the Bears, finishing with 13 kills. Arroyo has now posted double-digit kills in five straight matches.
• Taylor Prall added 10 kills and finished with a .320 hitting percentage. Madison Asher paced the Bears with a .467 hitting percentage and added five total blocks.
• As a team, LR hit .312, compared to .155 by the visitors. The .313 hitting percentage is the best mark for LR all season, topping the previous high of .300 against Fayetteville State.
• The Railsplitters were led by Rylee Storms who finished with a match-high 15 kills.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• The Bears trail only Anderson and Wingate in the league standings.
• In their five-game winning streak, the Bears have won three in straight sets and two more in five sets.
• The match ends LR's four game home stand.

LR returns to action on Tuesday night as they travel to Anderson at 7 p.m. The Bears will look to avenge an earlier season loss to the Trojans.
