MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team dropped a pair of matches on the first day of the SAC/PBC Crossover hosted by Mars Hill on Friday afternoon. The Bears came up short against Augusta and Lander on the afternoon.
GAME ONE:
Final: Augusta 3, Lenoir-Rhyne 0
Records: Lenoir-Rhyne (10-5), Augusta (13-3)

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Augusta had 48 kills to just 28 from the Bears in the opener. Madison Malloch had a game-high 16 kills, while Taylor Prall led LR with 10.
- Prall added a pair of aces in the match and Rachel Bewick had a career-high 17 digs for the Bears.
- The Bears struggled offensively and hit under .100 as a team. Hannah Houston was second on the team with eight kills.

Final: Lander 3, Lenoir-Rhyne 1

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Emily Jordan had 10 kills and a career-high 23 digs for the freshman. Prall and Houston each finished with eight kills.
- Makenzie Hulsey had 20 assists and Selena Scudder added 13. Ashley Hawkins added 19 digs and Bewick chipped in 16.
- Madilyn Reed dished out 39 assists for Lander and Hannah McManus had 39 digs.
