Women's Swimming Beats UNC Pembroke; Falls to Mars Hill to Start Season

Hickory, N.C.-  Women's Swimming started their season with a spilt tonight at home. Lenoir-Rhyne beat UNC Pembroke 131-113 but fell to Mars Hill 148-103.  Kimberly Scheiber won three individual events and joined Kelsey Krumanocker, Jessica Myers and Lauren Rutherford to help the Bears win the 400 medley relay by 9 seconds.

Beyond the Pool:
  • It was the first visit UNC Pembroke has made to Hickory, N.C. 
  • Sophomore Kimberly Scheiber, broke 6 school records in her freshman year. 

Up Next: Bears will travel to East Carolina University next Saturday for a Quad-Meet with host East Carolina, Campbell and Catawba.
