Bears Overpower Tusculum for 11th Straight SAC Win

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Bears ran their South Atlantic Confefence winning streak to 11 in a row with another dominating performance. LR defeated Tusculum 38-14 to remain perfect on the season and run their regular season winning streak to 16 straight.

STATS OF THE GAME:
•   LR wasted little time getting on the board as Grayson Willingham connected with Dareke Young for a 54-yard touchdown on just the second play of the game.
•   Moments later, Dan Louba had a strip-sack to give the Bears the ball back at the Tusculum 23. Just four plays later, Jace Jordan found the end zone for his fourth touchdown of the season and the Bears were up 14-0 3:26 into the game. 
 •  Ameen Stevens did the rest, rushing for the Bears final three touchdowns of the afternoon. The sophomore racked up 112 yards on 19 carries to go with his trio of TDs for his first 100-yard game of the year. Stevens owns eight touchdowns this season and 19 in just 20 career games. 
•   Young would finish with three catches for 83 yards and added two carries for 58 yards. The junior exploded for two plays of over 50 yards. 
•   The Bears defense dominated Tusculum on the ground, holding the Pioneers to -5 yards rushing. In his past two games against LR, Jordon Shippy has been held to 0 yards on 15 carries. 
•   Eric Jackson led the Bears with seven tackles and Malik Taylor intercepted a pass. LR had four total sacks, led by 1.5 from Amari Houston

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
•    The Bears are outscoring opponents 157-48 over their past three games and are winning by an average of 34 points per game. 
•    LR has rushed for 1,818 yards as a team and held opponents to just 306 yards on the ground.  
•    Tusculum was whistled for 11 penalties, totaling 131 yards.
