Box Score MORROW, GA.-- For the second straight year, Lenoir-Rhyne and Clayton St. came down to the buzzer. This time, it was LR emerging victorious thanks to a career-high 36 points from R.J. Gunn.

Stats of the Game:

• Gunn, whose previous career-high was 29 points against Livingstone last year, went 15-for-26 from the field and added four boards and two assists. Gunn scored 29 of his 36 points in the second half. 
• The Bears shot 53.3 percent from the field and knocked down eight 3-pointers. 
• In this back-and-forth battle, neither team was able to lead by double digits. LR's biggest lead was nine points, while Clayton St. led by just four. 
• Tyson McClain got out of the gates hot, scoring 12 of his 15 points in the first half. McClain finished the game with a team-high three made 3-pointers. 
• Darius Simmons went 6-for-7 from the field and scored 15 points.
• Davion Bradford had eight points, eight rebounds and six steals and added another monster dunk to his ledger. Late in the second half, Bradford dunked on a Clayton St. player and got an and-one. 
• Five players scored in double figures for the hosts, led by 23 from Mehdi Pissis. 

Beyond the Box Score:

• Last season, CSU hit a buzzer-beater inside Shuford Gym to beat LR 75-74 on December 12. 
• Clayton St. held a 49-34 advantage on the boards and grabbed 18 offensive rebounds to just eight for LR.
• LR led for 28 minutes in the game. 
• Mason Hawks dished out a career-high eight assists in the win.
