Young Harris, Ga. -- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team moved to 2-0 and scored the most points in a game since
Everick Sullivan took over as Head Coach in a 110-99 win at Young Harris. Three players came off the bench to score in double figures led by a 29-point outburst from
Darius Simmons.

- Simmons erupted for 29 points on 8-of-18 shooting and 10-for-11 from the charity stripe. The junior added six assists and six rebounds.
- R.J. Gunn added 22 points, his second straight 20-plus point performance.
- Tyson McClain and Zim Fields also came off the bench to combine for 32 points on 11-for-16 shooting.
- As a team, Lenoir-Rhyne shot 55.8 percent in the second half and hit seven threes in the final 20 minutes of play.
- Lenoir-Rhyne made the most of their free throw opportunities, knocking down 20 of 23 attempts.
- The duo of Alphonso Willis and Brian Harper combined for 53 points with Willis grabbing 14 boards and Harper dishing out nine assists.
Beyond the Box Score:
- This is the most points scored in a game since scoring 122 in a loss to Newberry in 2015.
- LR put up 100 in consecutive games against Young Harris. The Bears topped the Mountain Lions 101-72 to open the 2018-19 season.
- Young Harris outscored LR 60-40 in the paint and led by as many as 10 points at the 9:20 mark of the first half.
- Over the final 9 minutes of the first half, the Bears outscored YHC 32-17.
