GREENVILLE, Tenn. – For the fourth time this season and third time in their last four games, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Basketball Team lost a one-possession game. The Bears dropped a 56-54 contest at Tusculum and have lost four straight games.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears were held to a season-low 54 points and shot a frigid 39.2 percent from the field on the day. LR connected on 38.1 percent from long range and only went to the free throw line seven times.
• Three players scored in double figures for the Bears, led by 12 points from
Darius Simmons. Simmons came off the bench and went a perfect 4-for-4 from long range.
Jon Jean and
Bertrand Awana each added 10 points with Awana completing the double-double with 10 boards.
• Tusculum was led by 20 points and 12 rebounds by Caleb Hodnett. The Pioneers shot 42.9 percent from the field buy only 4-of-19 from the 3-point line.
• The hosts held a 36-28 advantage on the glass, including an 11-6 advantage on the offensive boards.
• The Bears had the ball and trailed 55-54 with just over three seconds to go but the Pioneers came away with a timely steal to secure the victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The two teams combined to shoot just 14 free throws and were whistled for a total of 20 fouls.
• Both matchups between these two teams were decided by one possession. On Jan. 5, LR came away with a 77-74 victory.
• Prior to today, the Bears season-low point total was 68 at Lincoln Memorial.
