Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team dropped its second straight to start the 2019 campaign, falling to No. 5 Belmont Abbey by a final score of 21-15 on Saturday afternoon. Noah Haas scored seven times for the Crusaders who have won three straight.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears were led by a seven-point afternoon from junior
Eric Dickinson. Dickinson scored four times and dished out a trio of assists.
•
Joe Buduo also scored four goals for the hosts who saw
Ryan Bell and
Quinn Kuhn net hat tricks.
• Eight different Crusaders found the back of the net in this one as BAC held a 57-37 advantage in shots on the day. The Crusaders also held a decisive lead in shots on goal (38-24) and ground balls (43-36).
• LR went into the break trailing 11-6 but started the second half hot with a pair of goals in the first 1:20 of the third quarter. However, BAC would respond with two goals in 30 seconds to start a 5-1 scoring spurt that gave the visitors breathing room.
• The Bears went 16-for-21 in clear attempts. Belmont Abbey went 22-18 on faceoffs and forced LR into 17 turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears were a perfect 3-for-3 with the man advantage.
• LR hasn't started 0-2 in a season since dropping their first two games in 2016.
• Belmont Abbey owns a 5-3 advantage in the head-to-head matchup with the Bears.
