HICKORY, N.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team held the 4-2 lead just under 10 minutes into the game but it was the No. 9 Rollins College Tars who proceeded to go on a 13-0 scoring run to take down the Bears, 15-4, at home on Friday afternoon.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Tars held the advantage in nearly every statistical category, including shots (34-17), shots on goal (21-12), saves (8-6), clearing efficiency (15-of-18 to 11-of-19), draw controls (12-9) and free position shots (5-4). The Bears turned the ball over less (19-17) while earning more ground balls than the visiting team (18-17).
• Lenoir-Rhyne had a different player score each goal, including
Rachel Elmore,
Cathleen Gaffney,
Gabby Sousa and
Gia Colombo. Gaffney was the lead facilitator of the group, dishing out two assists on the Bears' four goals.

Cassie Lafler was in the Tars' faces all game long, forcing three turnovers on the defensive end of the field. She also led the Bears with five ground balls.
• Rollins used six players to score their 15 goals, and they were led by the four goals of Paige Brock.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Colombo, Elmore, and Gaffney have accounted for 18 of the team's 28 goals so far this year and have put one in for each game they stepped on the field.
• Lenoir-Rhyne has now gone head-to-head with its second top-10 team from the Sunshine State Conference.
