Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team opened its 2019 campaign with a home game against the Limestone Saints but came out on the wrong end of a 19-9 final.
Eric Dickinson scored a team-high four goals for the Bears who were outscored 11-3 in the second half.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• In addition to Dickinson, multiple goals from
Quinn Kuhn and
Ben Austin.
• Limestone scored the game's first four goals and never trailed in the contest. A goal from
Joe Buduo cut the Saints lead to 9-7 with 10:43 left in the third quarter but Limestone would tally 10 of the final 12 goals on the afternoon.
• The Saints had a slim 47-43 advantage in shots and 31-25 lead in ground balls. One of the biggest differences was Limestone's 28 shots on goal compared to 20 for the Bears.
• The Bears went 13-for-20 in clear attempts and turned the ball over 18 times in the non-conference matchup.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Limestone avenged a 17-13 loss on Saints Field a season ago.
• LR finished 1-for-4 with the man advantage, while the Saints went 1-for-2.
