KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team scored in every inning except one en route to a convincing 12-4 victory over Queens which completed the weekend sweep of the Royals. EJ Ranel led the Bears with three hits and
Hunter Jackson reached base safely all four times.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
• LR pushed across single runs in six innings and scored three times in the second and seventh innings. The Bears pounded out 13 hits and were helped by sloppy play from the Royals. Queens committed four errors and threw eight wild pitches.

Jake Conroy got the start and was cruising early. Conroy struck out the first two batters he faced and held Queens scoreless for three innings. Conroy ran into trouble in the fourth and gave way to
Matt Ranson who earned his first win of the season. Ranson gave up one earned run in 2.2 innings and struck out a pair.
• The strong bullpen work continued as
Kevin LaRosa and
Michael Allen combined to go the final 3.1 innings and didn't allow a hit. LaRosa recorded his four outs all via the strikeout and Allen allowed one baserunner in his two clean innings.

Grant Fuller sparked the LR lineup from the leadoff spot, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs batted in, a run scored and a stolen base.
Will Jones and Jackson each finished with two RBIs and
Alex Reynolds drew three walks. The Bears drew eight walks in the win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears are now outscoring league opponents 56-48. For the year, LR is now +2 in run differential overall.
• The four hits allowed are the second-lowest total of the season. The Bears allowed Newberry only two hits on Feb. 22.
