CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team traveled to take on the nationally-ranked Queens Royals on Wednesday night, but suffered a tough loss to the Royals. LR defeated Queens for the first time in program history a season ago but fell short on Wednesday evening.

Gia Colombo continued her streak of impressive scoring, as she put in two goals in the game.
Rachel Elmore,
Adriana Williams and
Michelle Tang added one each for the Bears.
• The Bears managed to collect more ground balls (24-20) and win more draw controls (14-12) than the home team while also having more free position shots (11-4).
• Lenoir-Rhyne's starter in goal,
Cristi Rowland took the loss in just under 33 minutes played as she collected four saves. Chase Brokaw earned the victory with five goals given up and 10 saves.
• Nine members of the Royals scored goals in the game led by Rachel Perrett with five, Ally Blood with four and both Allison Conn and Hanna Scott with three.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears were the first team in SAC history to defeat the Queen's women's lacrosse team last season.
• Despite tonight's loss, Lenoir-Rhyne owns a winning road record at 3-2.
• Colombo has now recorded six goals in the last three games while Elmore has 10 in the last three while only having one game this season without one goal scored.
