AMERICUS, Ga. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team used a monster performance from
Clayton Jeffries and a four-inning save from
Hunter Martin to take the rubber game and road series against the Georgia Southwestern Canes, 6-4.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Clayton Jeffries was the most potent bat in the lineup for the Bears in today's game, going 3-for-4 with a double and four runs batted in. Matthew Freeman recorded two hits and he as well as Caleb Beatty accounted for the other two RBIs for LR.
• Lenoir-Rhyne sent
Jake Conroy out to start on the mound, but it was Ranson and Martin who shined with a seven-inning performance where they combined to give up four hits, no runs and seven strikeouts.
• The Canes were led at the plate by Matthew Mamatas and Hunter Foster who each had two base knocks while Bo Halcomb and Tyler Skelton added one and two RBIs, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Lenoir-Rhyne has now taken its second road series win of the season and own a winning 9-7 record away from Bears Field.
• With the weekend wrapped up, Jeffries combined for seven hits, five RBI, two doubles and two runs scored.
