Hartsville, S.C. – Winners of three in a row, the Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team traveled to take on a familiar foe in nonconference play and came away with a 9-6 victory over Coker on Tuesday night. LR scored seven runs in the seventh and eighth inning to comeback and defeat the Cobras.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• A plethora of dynamic hitting performances led to nine runs on 15 hits. The Bears had four players with multiple hits, led by the designated hitter
Matthew Freeman (4-for-5 with two runs batted in and two runs scored),
E.J. Ranel (3-for-5, one RBI, one run scored),
Will Jones (3-for-4, one RBI, three runs scored), and
Clayton Jeffries (2-for-4). Three other Bears recorded hits, including a two-RBI performance from
Austin Reed.
• Lenoir-Rhyne sent
Brett Fulk to the mound to start in midweek action, and he rewarded the coaching staff with a 6.0-inning victory, spreading out seven hits, four runs (just three earned), four walks and three strikeouts.
Kanan Butler and
John Bauguess finished the final three innings of work, giving up two more in the last three frames on four hits.
• The top four in the order for the Cobras collectively went 6-for-16 at the plate, an RBI and five runs scored.
• Senior Drake Knight took the loss in relief for Coker, working 5.1 innings while giving up 10 hits, five runs, five strikeouts and a walk.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
• Lenoir-Rhyne now has 10 victories on the road this season, accounting for 66.7 percent of the team's victories.
• Fulk has earned victories in three of his last four starts, and has improved to 3-1 on the season.
• Jeffries has racked up 10 hits in his current five-game hitting streak.
