HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team and the Belmont Abbey Crusaders went head-to-head for the fourth time this spring, and the Bears took the win for the third time in the match up to extend their win streak to four games after defeating the Crusaders, 11-5, on Wednesday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears racked up 15 hits off Crusaders pitching with three of those being triples from
Will Jones,
Alex Reynolds and
Dalton Putnam.
Hunter Jackson and Reynolds led the way with three hits each, Putnam's triple brought in three runs and Reynolds and
Grant Fuller each added two runs batted in.
• Lenoir-Rhyne stranded 11 on base while Belmont Abbey left 10 on base. Each team also struck out eight times in the game.
• The Bears used eight pitchers in the game but it was
Matt Ranson who picked up his third win of the season and is now 3-0 on the year.
• The Crusaders had five batters record eight hits with Ben Gobbel, Mason Dodd, and Derrick Dabney each getting two apiece.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
• Lenoir-Rhyne and Belmont Abbey used a pitch-by-committee approach, combining to use 13 pitchers in this one. Neither starter lasted until the fourth inning.
• The home team doubled their total number of triples on the season from three to six in tonight's game.
