GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team traveled to the 11th ranked team in the nation and fell to the Limestone Saints by a final score of 15-3 on Saturday afternoon. The Saints scored the final 12 goals of the game to come away with the non-conference victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:
• The Bears answered Limestone's 2-0 scoring run to start the game with a pair of goals of their own.
Michelle Tang and
Rachel Elmore each scored to even the contest with 23:13 left in the first half.
• After Limestone reclaimed the lead, Elmore netted her second of the game to draw LR even at three with 17:19 to play in the first half. However, the Bears were held scoreless the rest of the way as Limestone's defense took over.
• Limestone was led by seven goals from Courtney Lafler and a hat trick by Abby Hope.
• Limestone held a 34-13 advantage in shots and a 26-15 advantage in ground balls. Limestone grabbed 11 of the 20 draw controls and went 16-for-17 on clears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• This is LR's fourth game against a ranked opponent on the season.
• Limestone is a perfect 6-0 in Conference Carolinas play this season and has only lost to Tampa in 2019.
• This marked the final non-conference game of the season for LR. The Bears finish 4-4 in non-conference games.

Lenoir-Rhyne will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lincoln Memorial for a South Atlantic Conference contest. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
