MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis Team ran its winning streak to seven straight with a SAC-opening 7-0 victory over Mars Hill on Thursday afternoon. The win over the Lions is LR's fourth straight win over Mars Hill.

Tom Rees. "I was pleased that all our freshman got their first wins in the SAC and we are looking forward to a good challenge against Belmont Abbey on Saturday."
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles action was tightly contested by the hosts but Lenoir-Rhyne came away with the point. At first doubles,
Hamed Gandouz and
Shane O'Dea beat MHU's top pair by a score of 6-4. In the second spot,
Tales Miranda and
Rhodri Atkinson won 6-4 and
Josh Lazenby and
Mauricio Hernandez won in the third line by a final of 6-3.
The Bears won all singles matches in straight sets. Reigning South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week Lazenby took a 6-4, 6-3 win in second singles for his third straight victory. Fellow freshman
Lewis Scott earned his first conference win by a final score of 6-3, 6-2 in fifth singles. Atkinson also earned his first conference win in singles 7-5, 6-0
