HICKORY, N.C. – Taylor Prall recorded her second straight double-double but the Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team suffered its first defeat of the season in a 3-1 loss to Queens on Friday evening inside Shuford Gym. Prall finished with 19 kills and 10 digs and Jackie Denny tallied eight kills and a team-high .412 hitting percentage but LR came up just short.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
•    Queens held a .169-.119 advantage in hitting percentage on the evening and had 14 more kills than the Bears. Chanel Turner led the visitors with 17 kills and added 16 digs while teammate Anna McLain had 12 kills. 
•    Helen Hamilton handed out 34 assists and added a pair of aces to go with 17 digs for her first double-double of the season. 
•    Ashley Hawkins' 22 digs was the second-most in a match this season for the sophomore. 
•    Denny added six blocks with her last block erasing a 24-21 LR deficit in the fourth set to even the contest at 24. However, the Royals tallied the final two points. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
•    LR swept the head-to-head series last year, winning each match in five sets. 
•    The Bears have opened each of the past two seasons with long winning streaks. LR started 7-0 last season before falling to Francis Marion. 
•    LR owns a 27-11 edge in the all-time series with Queens.
