HICKORY, N.C. --- It was fitting that on the same week Lenoir-Rhyne announced plans to name the basketball court after former coach John Lentz, the Bears would tie a program record set during the Lentz era. The LR Men's Basketball Team buried 19 3-pointers to draw even with the mark set during Lentz's penultimate season. On Jan. 15, 2014 LR also hit 19 threes and R.J. McClure hit 12 of them himself, which still stands as the most in a single game in nearly 100 seasons of Bear basketball.
