Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team shot just 28 percent in a 54-44 loss to Wingate on Saturday afternoon.
Karlie Bearden was tremendous for the Bears, scoring 10 points to go with 13 rebounds and five blocked shots.

- Neither team could find the groove offensively, Wingate shot just 29 percent for the game, compared to 28 percent from LR. LR hit just 15 percent from long range while the Bulldogs went 4-for-12.
- Teliyah Jeter led the Bulldogs with a double-double. Jeter finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds and added six blocks.
- LR led 28-23 at the break but the third quarter proved to be the difference. LR shot 2-of-12 in the quarter and were outscored 17-6.
- Jackson Douglas came off the bench for Wingate to add 11 points and Destiny Coleman added 12 boards.
- Kennedy Weigt added 10 points for the Bears.
