Jefferson City, TN.-- Carson-Newman shot 68% in the first half and used a 22-3 run to close out the first quarter to lead them to a 102-66 win Wednesday night against the Bears.

Stats of the Game:
- Bears could not stop the SAC's highest scoring team in this one. Carson-Newman came into the game averaging 83.5 points per game, nine points more then second-place Anderson. On Wednesday night, the Eagles shot 55% from the floor to help them score over 100 points for the sixth time this year.Â
- Carson-Newman loves to shoot it from deep as the Eagles have shot 638 three-pointers on the year. That figure is most in the SAC and still leads the league with a 38.6% pct. Carson-Newman made 10 three-pointers in the first half and finished 16-36 from deep for a 44% clip.Â
- LR, on the other hand, did not shot the ball well. The Bears shot 23-77 from the floor for 30%. Addisen DeLucas and Hanna McClung were the only Bears to hit at least 50% of their field goals.Â
- DeLucas set a new career high in points off the bench for the Bears. DeLucas had 13 points on 5-8 shooting and added five rebounds in her 16 minutes.Â
- Karlie Bearden had her fifth double-double on the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.Â
- Ashley Woodroffe and McClung also had double figures for the Bears. McClung had 16 points and Woodroffe had 10 for the Bears.Â
- Bears shot extremely well from the free-throw line. LR shot 15-17 from the line for 88%, their highest of the season since shooting 90% (20-22) on November 30 at Queens.Â
Beyond the Box Score:
- Last year in Jefferson City, the Bears came out with a 78-75 upset of then #20 Carson-Newman which snapped the Eagles 27-game winning streak inside Holt Fieldhouse.
- Kiara Moore had five rebounds on the night and went over the 100 rebound mark for the season.Â
- Its the fifth straight game Karlie Bearden has lead the team in rebounds.
- With wins by Wingate and Lincoln Memorial tonight, the Bears will fall to 8th place in the SAC, one game ahead of UVA-Wise, who will travel to Hickory a week from today.Â
