Hickory, N.C-- Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis swept Methodist in convincing fashion 7-0 both matches on Sunday afternoon.
MATCH ONE:
Rhodri Atkinson lead the charge defeating EJ Stolmeijer 6-4, 6-2 in No.1 Singles.
Tales Miranda, Patrik Alvesrand and
William Hewett swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
On the doubles side, The duo of Atkinson and
Josh Lazenby did not give up a single set in No.1 doubles defeating Ly/Laney 6-0.
Alex Ayguavives and
Mauricio Hernandez also contributed defeating Tegan/Findley 6-1 in No.2 doubles.
MATCH TWO:
Alex Hyman started the afternoon hot, dropping Laney 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 singles.
Eric van Nunen clinched singles defeating Newsome 6-2, 6-0.
On the doubles side,
Lewis Scott and
Paul Lenz led LR defeating Stolemeijer/Laney 6-1. Atkinson and Hewett also had a strong perfomance, winning over Lytnev/Tewari.
The Bears next match will be on the road against Anderson Friday February, 28.
